Join us as we sing together in glorious praise of our Lord.

Ask any parishioner what is special about this church and music is sure to be among the top three responses. Our congregation deeply appreciates the Anglican choral tradition.  Our exceptional music program is directed by John Widmann. As Organist and Choirmaster, John leads an excellent choir consisting of both volunteers and professionals in exquisite settings of hymns, anthems, and other sacred music. On special occasions such as Easter and Christmas Eve, the choir is augmented with professional instrumentalists.
The St. Francis Choir is comprised of amateur and professional musicians, and participates in Sunday services on a weekly basis. We rehearse weekly and welcome new singers and musicians.  If you are interested in joining the choir, please contact John Widmann, [email protected].

The Assisi Chamber Singers are professional musicians who participate in our services periodically throughout the year.

We present many other musical offerings throughout the year, including guest soloists, organ recitals, community orchestras, Christmas Carol singalongs, and Sunday School singers, to name a few.  We have hosted a live concert by the Oxford University men’s a capella group Out of the Blue and several concerts by the Trinity Chamber Orchestra.   If you are interested in participating or performing here at St. Francis, please let us know!

The choir meets from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. on Thursday evenings. Generally, this occurs during the school year. Our last Sunday with the full choir this season will be Sunday, June 30, 2024. We will be returning to sing on Sunday, September 8, 2023, and our first formal Thursday rehearsal in the Fall occurs on Thursday, September 5.

Generally, on Sundays, the choir has a warm-up at 8:30 a.m. prior to our 9:15 services. In accordance with the service time change for the Summer to 10:00 a.m., the choir will warm up at 9:15 a.m. from May 26 through June 30, when the service time changes to 10:00 a.m.

We welcome new singers!
